Nancy Jean Kosior

      Nancy Jean Kosior, a lifelong resident of Warwick, NY passed away on January 13th, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern after a brief illness. She was 78 years old.

      Born on October 25, 1942, she was one of eight children born to Joseph and Dorothy (Cross) Carr. Nancy was married to the late Joseph Kosior for 51 years.

      Nancy grew up on Wisner Rd and enjoyed many childhood years hiking, fishing and exploring the outdoors with her four sisters and three brothers. After marrying and settling down, she and Joe raised three daughters in the village. She loved helping others and especially enjoyed helping the underprivileged children in her community. In her later years, she could be seen walking daily in her hometown.

      Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Cathy Schweizer and her husband Tom, Emily Sarnoski and her husband Joe, and Nancyjo Langlitz; two grandchildren, Joey and Holly Schweizer; and two sisters, Judy Kukelka and Elizabeth Carr. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.

     Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., the Rev. Jennifer Morrow officiating, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. Inurnment will follow the service in Warwick Cemetery

I remember Nancy from when she worked at Warwick Schools transportation department. She was such a nice person, always had a smile and a wave. So sorry to learn of her passing....
