Austin Decker, Jr. of Warwick, NY entered into rest on October 7, 2018. He was 81 years old.
He was the beloved son of Austin Decker Sr. and Catherine Hines, born on January 29, 1937 in Middletown, NY.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59.
Austin was the 2nd generation owner of Austin Decker and Sons Plumbing and Heating, as well as Central Water Systems Installations, Inc.
He was a member of the Cortlandt Yacht Club, the Florida Band, and St. Stephens Church, and was an avid fisherman.
Austin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene (Wanamaker) Decker at home; his sons, Austin Roy Decker and Michael Roy Decker and wife Denice of Warwick; three grandchildren: Reese Joseph, Sarah, and Jessica; “daughters” Lisa Rose Decker and Glynn Zhiem; and sister, Sandra Decker.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick. Interment will follow the mass in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contribution in his memory may be made to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
