Allison Lorraine Kidney

1/6/2018

Allison Lorraine Kidney of Warwick, NY passed away on January 6, 2018.  She was 16 years old.

Born in Stupino, Russia, August 18, 2001 in the Moscow region, and named Elena, a name she later accepted at her confirmation.  Allison was adopted in 2002 by her parents, Bryan and Kristine (Turner) Kidney.

Ally played lacrosse on the Varsity team as a goalie. She loved photography.  She loved to eat pasta too; so much that her father called her “Noodle.”

Ally loved her family, especially her brother and her aunts; spending time with her cousins and they enjoyed their “girl cousins weekends” together.   She loved her friends and spending time with them.  She was a great swimmer, loved the beach and the water, and loved taking trips to the shore.

Allison could light up a room with her smile and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Ally is survived by her parents, Bryan and Kristine Kidney; her brother, Ian; paternal grandmother, Lois Kidney; maternal grandparents, Katherine and Peter Turner; many aunts and uncles and many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Richard Kidney.

The family would like to thank the Warwick Police Department for their support and professionalism; and also Father Richard and St. Stephen Church, and their friends, Pete Easop and Jeff and Jen Peterson who were there in a moment’s notice.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sandfordville Road, Warwick, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Purple Champions Club – Girls Lacrosse, 89 Sanfordville Rd, Warwick, NY 10990 or the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 61, 48 Public Works Rd., Warwick, NY 10990

Kidney family, I heard about Ally through my kids who attend WVHS and felt so overwhelmed with sadness. No parent should ever have to bury their child. I can't begin to imagine your pain but as a parent myself I feel so overwhelmed with grief for such a beautiful life lost way too soon. Please know this community stands beside you all. Although I did not know your beautiful daughter Ally personally, I want you all to know I feel such pain and am so saddened by her passing. My hope for you all is that over much time all the cherished memories you have will put smiles within your heart. Keep her alive in your hearts and minds and know one day you will all be together again. Rest in peace Ally.

Dear Bryan, Kris and Ian: I know I speak for everyone in our office when I say that we have shared in your grief during this extremely difficult time. We loved Allison and all of you for that matter! We have always admired the commitment, love and devotion you have for your family. Her life may have been short, but it was full. Full of family and good times that every child would cherish. We will always remember her and her smile but mostly her life. She was a beautiful girl and i hope her memory will help you all heal. Love Judy and staff of Dr. Malkin
