Harriet G. Schneider

Harriet Grace Schneider, of Warwick, NY (formerly of River Vale, NJ and Peoria, IL), passed away on October 16, 2017 at her home in Warwick .  She was 86 years old.

Born on October 31, 1930 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Maude (Reig) Seei.

She was married to the late Raymond D. Schneider, Sr. (2014)

Before retiring, Harriet was an Assistant in the Reference Library of CBS News, New York, NY. 

She was an active gardener and was a member of St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick, NY.

Harriet is survived by her seven children:  Raymond D. Schneider, Jr. and wife Geraldine of Warwick, NY,  Janice Belbey and husband Mark of Warwick, RI, Stephen Schneider and wife Jennifer of Warwick, NY, Michael Schneider and wife Ingrid of Cummings, GA, Susan Schneider of Warwick, NY, Timothy Schneider and wife Marilyn of Hillsdale, NJ, and Dan Schneider and wife Elise of Harrington Park, NJ;  20 grandchildren:  Christine Schneider, Raymond Schneider III, Kelsey Schneider, Meghan Muller, Timothy Belbey, Daniel Belbey, Colleen Tuttle, Patrick Belbey, Tara Byrne, Emily Byrne, Stephen Schneider, Jr., Andrew Byrne, Steffani Schneider, Alyssa Schneider, T.J. Schneider, Stephanie White, Shannon Cooke, James Cooke, Daniel Schneider, Jr. and Christian Schneider;  five great-grandchildren: Evelyn Claire Schneider, Connor James White, Brooklyn McKinley Belbey, Abigail Agnes Tuttle and Roland Jackson Muller.  And survived by a sister, Jan Dean of Santa Ana, CA. and preceeded in death by a brother, Emil Seei, Jr of Peoria, Illinois.

Visitation will be on Friday 10/20/17 from 4-7pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.  Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Saturday 10/21/17 at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery. 

Memorial donations in Harriet’s name may be sent to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Stephen, Stephen jr. , Susan and Schneider Family: so sorry to have read about Harriet's passing. She was an icredible woman and clearly the pillar of a phenomenal close knit family. I was honored to have known her and part of the family for the time I was.
