Pandora L. LaLumiere

Pandora L. LaLumiere, of Greenwood Lake, passed away on August 16, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 48 years old.

Born on May 16, 1969 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of Jerry Linder and the late Ellen (Piatt) Szymkiewicz.

A graduate of Montreat College in North Carolina, she earned her Master’s degree from Nyack College. Pandora was a Teacher at Greystone School in Warwick. She was a member of Warwick Asembly of God Church, where she was active in the sidewalk Sunday School, served as children’s pastor. Her whole life was dedicated to the service of God and when she was younger, she went on mission trips around the world.

Pandora is survived by three loving daughters: Sarah LaLumiere, Marie LaLumiere, and Elizabeth LaLumiere, all of Highland, NY; her father, Jerry Linder of Saddle Brook, NJ; a step-daughter, Amanda LaLumiere; a brother, Hobart Linder of Mohegan Lake, NY; two sisters, Heidi Halberstadt of Wellington, FL and Amanda Linder of Saddle Brook, NJ.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 19^th, at Warwick Assembly of God Church 60 South Street, Warwick.

Memorial donations may be sent to Assembly of God Children’s Ministries, 60 South St., Warwick, NY 10990.

Hi. I am so so shocked and saddened to hear about your mom. I worked with your mom about 2 years ago at BOCES in Goshen. I was the teacher in the classroom and she was a wonderful one on one aid to one of our students. I only learned of your mom's passing yesterday. I apologize. I certainly would've attended the services if I had known. Your mom is someone that I will never ever forget. Every single day she shared stories about you three girls. You were her life. She loved you more than anything in the world. She was also someone who, despite difficulties and real struggles that she had to deal with, she was the most positive person I've ever met. Girls, You are the very best daughters in the world. Your mom was a beautiful sweet, loving mother, the best of mothers. I am blessed to have known your mom. She has been such a blessing to my family. You all have been such a blessing to my family. May you feel God pouring out His and her very special love on you each day. We are praying for you!

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I was shocked & saddened to learn of her demise. I can still see her at my cabin hideaway in NJ with her mom and siblings. Years later, we met again when she was married with children. Her gentleness and love for all in life that is GOID will be remembered. She has forever touched many lives.
