Albert Billings Dowsett, Jr. a longtime resident of Warwick, NY passed away unexpectedly at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY on June 21, 2018. He was 87 years old.

Born July 6, 1930 to parents Albert Billings Dowsett, Sr. and Eleanor Frye in Teaneck, NJ.

Albert was married to Janet (nee Scanlon)

Al served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1952 as a Senior Aircraft Mechanic.

He was the owner of H&D Dental Lab in Dumont, NJ.

Al was an avid golfer. He loved Warwick and he loved his dog, Daisy.

He is survived by his wife Janet at home; four sons: David Dowsett and his wife Mary of Marco Island, FL, Steven Dowsett of Ireland, Brian Dowsett of Hawaii, and Robert Hayden and wife Cara of Warwick, NY; grandchildren: Bruce Hayden, Jessica Dowsett, Matthew Dowsett, Shannon Hayden, Kelly Hayden, Danny Hayden, and Poppi Costello; and one great-grandson.

Al was predeceased by a son, Thomas Hayden(2011) and a daughter, Debbie Dowsett(1987).

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Rd, Warwick. Interment immediately following in Orange County Veterans’ Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
