Alfred G. Atkins, of Warwick, passed away on August 18, 2017 at home. He was 68 years old.
Born on July 15, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Alfred Atkins and the late Ann (Stortz) Atkins.
He was married to Lisa M. (Mullen) Atkins.
Alfred was a Bartender at Coquitos in Warwick.
Alfred had a love of all people, and was always there to help someone in need. He was seen by many as a father figure, confidant, and a sounding board. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Warwick; his daughter, Laine Atkins of Warwick; his son, Matthew Atkins of Queens, NY; his grandson, Dean Grill; his father, Alfred Atkins and his wife, Margaret, of Freeport, LI; and his sister, Kathy Keller of Valley City, OH.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 22nd, from 4:00-6:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 pm. Private cremation.
Memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry, 135 Forester Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.
