Judith K. Werner

Judith K. Werner, of Warwick, NY, and formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on August 12, 2017 at Westchester Medical Center.  She was 82 years old.

Born on April 24, 1935 in Madison, WI, she was the daughter of the late Walter Scott Hake and Lilah Musetta Chamberlain.

Before retiring, Judith was an elementary School Teacher at the Kelly Lane School, in Granby, CT.   She was a member of the Sandia Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, NM and was formerly a Docent at the Natural History Museum in Albuquerque.  Judith was also an avid golfer and bridge player.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Werner of Warwick; her daughter, Susan Werner Mackie and her husband Bob of Warwick;   three grandsons:  William Thomas Mackie of San Francisco, CA, Michael Andrew Mackie of Los Angeles, CA, and Timothy Scott Mackie and his wife Shawna of Hinesville, GA; a brother, Daniel Hake and his wife Barbara of Estero, FL;   two nephews and a niece.  She was predeceased by a son, Scott Thomas Werner in 1993.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 19th, 2017, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY  10990.

Dear Tom, Susan and family. There will. E an empty place in the hearts of so many whose lives were touched by Judy. She was a dear and loyal member of NFHF wIth me.She honored all of life by the way she loved those who shared it with her. She will be warmly remembered and deeply missed.
