Evelyn V. Gilligan

Evelyn V. Gilligan, of Goshen and formerly of Warwick, passed away on November 8, 2016 at Valley View Center. She recently celebrated her 100^th birthday

Born on April 21, 1916 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Minerva (Knock) Genet.

She was married to the late Harry E. Gilligan (1977).

She is survived by her son, James Gilligan and his wife Joan, of Warwick; nine beloved grandchildren: Jeannie, Sue, Debbie, Jimmy, Jr., Randy, Debbie, Kevin, Tom and Jamie; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carole Bell.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 14, 2016, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
