Charles H. Babcock, Sr.

Charles H. Babcock, Sr., of Goshen, (formerly of West Milford, NJ), passed away onJanuary 26, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center.  He was 61 years old.

Born on June 10, 1954 in Warwick, NY, he was the son of the late Fred and Dorothy (Gould) Babcock.

Charles was a Heavy Equipment Operator with Tilcon Quarry in Riverdale, NJ, and was a NJ State Forest Ranger for 18 years. 

He is survived by his fiancee, Colleen Cook of West Milford, NJ; his children:  Charles H. Babcock, Jr.and his wife Angela Babcock  of Goshen, George L. Babcock of Greenwood Lake, Dorothy Nowack and husband Brandon Nowack of Greenwood Lake, and Melissa Babcock of Arizona. and Matthew Carol of West Milford, NJ;  four stepchildren:  Christopher Visser of Arizona, David Visser of Arizona, Casey Pfefferkorn of West Milford, NJ and Brittney Pfefferkorn of West Milford, NJ.  He is also survived by his  grandchildren:  Anthony, Angelica, Charles and Brandee;  sister, Elaine Lindsey of Wanaque, NJ, brother Fred Babcock, Jr. of West Milford, NJand sister Alice Hardy of West Milford, NJ. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30th, from 3:00 -5:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm. Private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations ca be made i his name to North Shore Animal League America.
