Robert A. Bogdanski

LTC (Retired) Robert A. Bogdanski, 67, a lifelong resident of the Town of Warwick NY, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 peacefully with his family at his side.  He was the son of the late Edith Czubak and Andrew J. Bogdanski, Jr. born March 31st 1948

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. (nee Benedict) Bogdanski ; his girls Christine and her husband Jim Heim, Mary Kate and her husband Michael Brady and Amy Bogdanski; his adored grandchildren Andrew & Abigail Heim; his brother Ronald Bogdanski; and many beloved family & friends.

He was a member of St. Stephen the First Martyr Church, Warwick, NY.  He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army Reserves and active Duty for 28 years including a tour in Heidelberg, Germany during Operation Joint Endeavor.  He retired in October 2014 from the Department of Social Services of Orange County.  He was a commodity broker in NYC for many years.  He was a Town of Warwick Republican Committeeman, a former Treasurer of the Florida Fire Department, a former member of the Town of Warwick Board of Review and Planning Board, the Greenwood Lake Elks, and former President of the Warwick Valley Rod & Gun Club.

He graduated from Warwick Valley High School (1966) and Fordham University (1970)

His love of the “Oldies” has been imparted to his family.  He was his family’s rock always steadfast & true.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 17th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday at St. Stephen RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephen Cemetery, Warwick.

Maggie just heard of Bob passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies. He was a great friend, we spent many hours together growing up in fear old Warwick High..As a war vet I'm especially proud of Bob's service to our country.
