John J. Lachat

John J. Lachat, of Warwick and formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, passed away on August 3, 2015 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. He was 94 years old.
Born on February 9, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Jacob and Willimina (nee Wilkey) Lachat.
He was married to the late Ellen (nee Grimm) Lachat (2014).
Before retiring John was a Printer with Peter Mallon Co. in Long Island City, NY. He also was a Veteran of WWII serving on the escort ship USS Lady Chenango CVE-28, these were some of his proudest days. A family statement reads: “most of all he was a good Dad”
He is survived by his son John Lachat and his wife Jean of Greenwood Lake, NY. He was predeceased by his grandson John Lachat, brother Peter Lachat and sister Willimina Backes.
Viewing is private and burial will be in Warwick Cemetery on Monday August 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm
