Marcel Ducommun

Marcel Ducommun, a 42 year resident of Warwick, passed away on July 17, 2015 at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 84 years old.

Born on September 19, 1930 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Marcel and Fanny (Beliout) Ducommun.

He was married to the late Gloria (Holmes) Ducommun (1989).

Marcel served with the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post #4662 in Warwick. He was a Watchmaker and owned M. Ducommun Company in Warwick. He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Warwick.

Marcel loved golf and enjoyed going to car shows.

He is survived by his son, Curtis Ducommun and his wife Brenda of Sunset Beach, NC; his daughter, Gail Lauster of Shallotte, NC; his companion, Ann Repose of Warwick; a step-son, Rob Repose and his wife Nicole of Warwick; his grandchildren: Nichole Purdy and her husband Matthew, Pamela Ducommun, Courtney Scott, Ashley Swaim and her husband Justin; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kyle, Ryan, Kaileb, and Amaya; step daughter-in-law, Edith Repose; step-grandchildren: Greyson, Colin, Megan, Jessica, Ilana, Imya, Rutchel, Mike and Mark; step-great-grandchildren: Eddie, Joel, Jr. and Sir Alex; and four nephews: Bob Holmes, Tom Holmes, John Holmes, and Michael Holmes. He was predeceased by a stepson, Edward Repose.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 20^th, from 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990.
