Margaret "Peggy" E. Smith

Margaret " Peggy" E. Smith, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on May 10, 2015 at Schervier Pavilion.  She was 81 years old. 

Born on June 9, 1933 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Roy T. and Ruth (Wallace) Elston. 

She was married to the late Gorham Smith.  She was also predeceased by her first husband, Richard B. Stage in 1972. 

Before retiring, she was a Mortgage Loan Officer with Warwick Savings Bank.  She was a charter member of the Warwick Jaynecees.  

The family remembers Margaret as being a woman full of love and wit. 

She is survived by her two daughters:  Margaret Stage Weiss of Warwick, and Wendy Pazdur and her husband Ernest of Mansfield, GA; her grandchildren:  Kevin Weiss, Amanda Stage, JoAnne Triassi, and Julia Triassi;  her sister, Marion E. Stage of Warwick and her children, Rebecca E. Stage, Suzanne De Rungs, and Douglas R. Stage;  her brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws,  as well as their children.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday, May 12th, from 10:00-11:00 am at the Warwick Reformed Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave., Warwick, NY 10990 or the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry, 135 Forester Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.
