Nancy A. Clavin

Nancy A. Clavin, of Warwick, NY (formerly of New York City and Rockville Centre) passed away at home on December 31, 2014.  She was 60 years old.

Born on July 15, 1954 in Glen Cove, NY, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Maureen (O’Brien) Clavin.

She was married to Louis G. Marquet.

While in New York City, Nancy was a Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Douglas Elliman – Gibbons & Ives.  After moving to Warwick to raise a family she taught herself various computer programming languages and was a programming consultant.  She loved tennis, reading and taking care of her gardens and numerous house plants, some of which she has had for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Louis G. Marquet of Warwick; her children: Meredith Clavin-Marquet of Warwick, James Clavin-Marquet of Warwick, and Sean Marquet and his wife Kellie of Brooklyn; two grandsons: Max and Quinn of Brooklyn; two sisters: Jane Clavin of Providence, RI and Patricia “Tunie” Cole and her husband Steve of Atlanta, GA.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Orange County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or Albert Wisner Library, 1 McFarland Drive, Warwick, NY 10990.
